Yeah. That would be cool. A crop like this at full size would be nice. I would just like to see how the text was at full res.

I updated the original post and added a cut-out section.

It works fine Wired. I will agree with you. The text looks just fine at full res. So I have no complaints.
Must rep you for this monstrous sized piece of wonderful space work.

This is a great space map.
Still, even if the texts are legible, I wouldn't have put the shields under them; just a matter of tastes of course, but it would have been better, in my opinion, for the best view of the shields themselves.
    Anyway, epic job.

I originally had the shields half-transposed over the planets next to them, but realized they would become too small. Had I put them to the left of the text they probably would have taken up too much space. Putting them behind the text was a compromise.

This is amazing - I keep wanting to click on things as if I'm looking at a game like Endless Space instead of a map image. I halfway expect little pop-ups to appear under my cursor when it hovers over every planet and moon. That's a great feature of a fantasy map, in my opinion - not just the presence of information, but the suggestion of more underlying information.

I really enjoy the way you've re-imagined the Game of Thrones world, too. It makes a lot of internal sense, and it builds features of the original works into its own logic.

One critical point: With such a high resolution, what is your preferred method for displaying the map? It almost needs a computer-game-like zoomable view, or a large poster printout.

Finally, you get some rep from me!
