    Wip Island of Daino

I figured I would share my progress in working though RobA's fantastic tutorial on making artistic regional maps in GIMP. Decided I would start with this before moving to something larger. Thoughts so far?

Hey bikefish, that's a good start!! Nice colors and textures. Now plan your scale, so you know how big the land is, and therefore how big the mountains will be.

Nice, just one big big problem ... Lake should have only one outlet to the sea. A lake can have many input rivers, but just one outlet

No Now you have rivers that are splitting, and that's bad too. I'd say go back to the lake, but keep just one outlet river and have the other rivers either flow from land into the lake, or from land into the sea directly.

The big lake was not quite working for me on trying to revise. Try 3.

I'm a little confused by what the sand/yellow bits represent.
Rivers seem fine from what I can tell (chick is the expert though) personally I'd have another river going into your left lake but *shrug*
