Hi Bobemor, I'm curious why you need the tectonic plates in the first place. You can make a world map without caring about them, as long as you remember a few basic rules, such as mountains form in long straight or gently curved ranges, never at sharp angles to each other, and not a lot of isolated mountains standing alone by themselves. Volcanoes most frequently occur in arcs of islands, which is where plates are converging, but as long as you keep them in realistic arcs, the tectonics will be understood by default.
