    Map Turanian Border Garrison

Staying in the Conan universe of Robert E. Howard I did a small border fortification of Turan, mixing elements of Middle East with Western architecture.

    Done in Illustrator and PS.

Excellent map! Everything is very well done and I love the subtle watermark or inked scripts effects you added.

This is awesome. I think I'd add a teeny bit more colour just to break up the earthy tones, but that's nitpicking. It looks great.

    This is really gorgeous, Sapiento!

I do have to ask one question ... it looks like the light is coming from the right, so is the shadow of the SW wall segment on the correct side? It just keeps drawing my attention for some reason.

I love the color and the textures and shading you have done, it's very cool!!

    Thank you, guys!
@ChickPea: I kept the colours deliberately desertlike.
@chick: The shadow may be a little bit too wide on the SW segment, but is correct.

A very nice fortress Sapiento! I'm particularly a fan of the colour-palette: The contrast of the blue-grey and the sand tones is just wonderful. I also like the decorative elements and i think the font fits very well (while searching fonts for some of my maps, i found that i don't like most of the "pseudo-arabic" fonts, but this one is very nice and subtle!).
