Boundless has released version 4.6 of OpenGeo Suite. Improvements include significant improvements to Composer and YSLD, colour blending and compositing, much improved implementation of WPS, performance improvements to PostGIS, and support for INSPIRE. More details in the official announcement

You can get the Basic edition (No Composer, YSLD, clustering, or support) for free. A new release of our QGIS installer should also be along shortly, as should a new community release of GeoServer.

OpenGeo Suite is admittedly overkill for most fantasy mapping, but I know there are a few other real world GIS users here who might be interested, and there's nothing wrong with a bit of overkill now and then.

If you're curious, my contributions this time around were mostly in boring but useful fixes and improvements to GeoServer and GeoWebCache, and in improving the YSLD map styling language.
