Create a map based on a Domesday Book entry
Make a map based on an entry from the Domesday Book. The entries for places include things like the number of households, how much farmland, and whether they include any other (taxable) assets such as a mill, etc.
You could try to make the map as authentic/historic as possible or you might simply use the information as the basis for a map. Or anything in between.
Alternatively if anyone can think of any other primary sources similar to the Domesday Book to base this sort challenge on, feel free to suggest them!

It's true. The "Domesday Book" is the record of the great survey of England completed in 1086

That sounds like a cool idea.
Quite shocking just how many people and towns simply weren't there - over the entire country. There were... so very few of us, and a huge proportion of them were down as slaves - probably the defeated indigenous population, following the invasion of William the Conqueror in 1066. What a horrible, miserable place it must have been!
My birthplace (Weymouth, Dorset) does not appear to exist!!! The closest place (Bridge) has just 2 fishermen.
Modern Weymouth has a population of just over 52,300.
Not sure what I would map of my birthplace, if there was nothing there - except a landscape of forest and swamp (Radipole Lake and its extensive marsh).
Might be interesting poking around to see if I can find any actual maps of the area done around that time in preparation, though.
