Thread: Parchment-style birds eye map of the Iron Coast

  1. #1

Default Parchment-style birds eye map of the Iron Coast

Working on revamping a friend's map for an upcoming campaign.

WIP is below. I'm pleased with the overall style (steering away from isometric views this time), but I'll probably increase the amount of shading to emphasise the mountains, and obviously the labeling is incomplete.

Yet to add: all the labels for locations, borders, major roadways, etc. Not sure how to approach those either.

Would love comments on the font and mountain style particularly, but please have at it on anything you see too! Thanks. Sorry for the crap quality.

Well even if it is not iso I wouldn't put mountains just like single lines. There is a nice tutorial somewhere on the site about birds eye mountains..there! http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...819#post173184

    Hope it helps
