Hi here is the WIP-Map for the upcoming Novel from Phil Routszong.

Wow, gorgeous mountains! I really like this, except for one thing ... the cities are not in the same perspective as the rest of the picture. Would it be possible to make them isometric to match the isometry of the mountains and trees? That would really top this off beautifully!

My first word that came to mind when I saw this was, "That's Fun! I want to read that." I think it looks phenomenal. I like the shorelines, and the mountains and the trees. I echo what Chick is saying, though I don't necessarily know if it's perspective, but it feels like they are from another map. All the other elements have delicate hatches and line work, but the cities read very flat and blocky (though I suppose that makes them very legible?)

I actually like the bold line work of the cities; to me it's a nice contrast with the mountains. The thing I personally don't like is the dark pine forest - I feel like it unbalances the art significantly since there's nothing of equal weight on the left side.

Nice map already! I kinda agree with Diamond about the pine forest though.
