Excellent maps! I like both of them.
Being new here, I don't know who this "Jan Blaeu" [ note to self, look up ] but I am loving what you have done here! I love how legible it is, and love the line-weights, the delicacy and legibility and use of empty space. Taking notes!
Between the two I like the color one as well, though also vote for a hybrid.

Lovely map. I prefer the green land version, the text pops better to me. Admire both though!
These are beautiful. Think I have a slight preference for the paler version, but both are very attractive. Great job!
