    Default Looking for data

I'm searching something specific and haven't been able to find it yet. I'm looking for monthly isotherm maps based not on temperatures at sea level but on the real temperature/observed temperatures. I've found this map but it's the sea level temp: http://www.davidrumsey.com/rumsey/Si...05/7069000.jpg

Ideally, the best would be a file I could open with a GIS, showing the isotherms for each degree Celsius.

Edit: i think this is what i was looking for http://nelson.wisc.edu/sage/data-and...re%20%28DJF%29
I just need to figure out how to make it work.

    Default

    real temperature/observed temperatures
    that might be near imposable

the ocean SURFACE temps are derived from satellite data in the IR band

and most of the land data is also collected this way , with "ground control" truths

    have a look at NOAA
