Azaara Desert World

This is my first map on this forum.



I've just started, and my aim is to make it a desert. It will be a collaboration with a friend who is driving the fiction.

I've blocked out continent/island land masses.

Any thoughts?

My next steps will be to refine the coastline and layout points of interest.

what is the Latitude and Longitude area of this image ?

180 Deg. latitude and 90 degrees long. ( north and south America )

or just say a smaller area like say Australia

or just a large island like say Madagascar

It's all made of desert or isn't the withe for water ?
I don't think it's possible to have a desert planet with 50%+ of the surface covered with water.

The total area would be about the size of Africa, a tad smaller. Currently, playing around with the idea that the "rivers and seas" are actually something more akin to quicksand with strange and dangerous creatures living within.
