Default (WIP) UR - The Black Land

    Hello Guild.

I'm not one for conventional borders and I'm going all out with this one. I spent most of the day on it but it's not finished yet. Mountain style and name are subject to change. (Ur pronounced oor)

    Thanks.

That's way better than the conventional borders!
I mean, they are fine if the fit the style of the map.

That's gorgeous, Sarithus. If you want to do us all a favor, write a tutorial on making borders like THAT!

Ridiculous amount of detail there, Sarithus. Good work so far.

Thanks very much Azelor, Chick and TaylorH.

@Chick - I wouldn't know where to start making a tutorial for that kind of a border, to be honest. It just comes down to being able to render what you want to make, it's just drawing/painting, really. I've been thinking about recording my process as a video series which I suppose would be a mega-tutorial, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to that.

Now that has style (the whole thing). I'm going to love seeing this one completed.

    First update:

I decided to try and make the entire map in the style of the border (jagged edges, crazy designs etc) so I redid the mountains. I've always wanted to try and render mountains with this kind of style and this is the perfect map for it. It'll take a while to render all them all like this, but hopefully it'll be worth it. I think I might come back to 'Ur - The Black Land'. It looks decent, but it's a little bit noisy and hard to read. (And comparing it to the old temporary title it's very blurry)

Anyone got any ideas where I should put my website? This border causes some problems.
