Fun! Brushes don't really count as "making your own" though, do they? Or are you going to do pieces that you can put together in different ways?

Yes, the picture you see is made from about a dozen different pieces. I'm trying to make them end in a similar line-end so they can be connected easily, although it also wouldn't be hard to simply draw your own connection lines as well.

The corners and rolls will be shaded, but the edges will not, so you can shade edges as you wish, or just use them to cut out a parchment shape from your favorite texture.

(In fact, I see now a spot in the bottom right corner where I didn't connect them quite perfectly)

This is what I have so far. I'd welcome suggestions for where more variations of something are needed, and for other shapes.

This looks nice but how does it work with the "set of max six items"?

Per a discussion with Bogie, I'll post six of them for the challenge, but the whole set will still be available for anyone who wants to use them

Ah, ok, thanks for the info, wasn't sure if I understand the rules correctly and wanted to post something myself

I have to say, this is a pretty innovative idea. Don't think I've ever seen this done before.

And what's fun is that I'm having a blast drawing them!

As most people here know, I flunked Crayons 101 in the second grade, so my drawing skills are horrible. I started these by finding some good examples of scrolls on the net and trying to mimic them. Within about 3 or 4, I discovered I could freehand them pretty well, and now I can't stop!
