    Congrats, Francissimo.
And by the way... since you're the QGIS expert, one question: do you think it's possible/feasible to make a collage of satellite pictures, on top of a collage of DEMs and fake some coordinates so that they could be loaded onto QGIS and made into 3D?
    Congrats too Pixie!
    >About your question, i guess you can load data with fake coordinates in QGIS without difficulties, if your sat image and your dem have the same coordinates it will stack correctly in qgis. The tricky part would be to have your fake DEM work for the 3D plugin. I'm not sure how you can make a simple black and white image work as a dem, each pixel of the dem as an altitude value and i don't know if qgis can automaticly create some fake altitude with an image. I may try that someday, the idea is very interesting and has potential for imaginary maps, but i'm not sure how to do it for the dem part
