On a worldwide forum, this is of limited interest, but the Museum of Modern Art in New York has a cool exhibition on prefab houses at the moment. There's a lot about the principles of living that people believed in that underpinned the design of some of the ideas which is pretty interesting. There's some cool designs for megastructures too which are rather nifty, as well as some actual concept houses out on the lot along the street. Also, note that MOMA is free entry between 4 and 8 on a Friday.
