    Thanks for the rep Imperial. And thanks SG - I inhaled those books when I was younger. Its great to hear a map compared to those. Its been a bit of a challenge doing this one as my natural inclination has been to throw lots of detail at it, but that would just get lost in the final cut. My fear is that it might still be too detailed. We'll just have to see. I'm currently havering as to whether to put shadows on the mountains or not. I might have a play with it in a quiet moment later today and see how it looks.

    My vote is no, especially if you only have B/W to play with. I love the look you have now with the cleft lines on the mountains clean and simple(though, as you say, it may get lost in final format).
