    Why, Thank'ee kindly, NeonKnight.

@ Ascension: If you call in at Santharia and go to the Developers forum (Click the big book in the top right of the screen) you will see a menu top left of screen made of small piccys. Click on 'Swap menus', select the paint pot (workshop) and you will see below you a guide to doing just what you are looking for! Provided by Artimidor, our Great Sage (the bloke who designed and runs the site).

You don't need to be a member to peruse any of the forums or menu's in there. And there is a whole section devoted to the maps of our world which you can poke around in.

And thanks everyone for your kind welcomes.

    Welcome to the Guild!

I can attest that the workshop has some very nice information it, and a very nice tutorial. This is where I learned my love of the smudge tool.

For those who do not know, the Cartographers Choice map Manthria was created for this world and I love this map style (one day, I shall try to mimic)

Very nice website that - kudos to the web dev who put it together. I found it hard to get at the maps tho but locations and info on them was really abundant.

    Cool !, see you around.

@ RedRobes. Perhaps I should have explained that when you get to the main Forums page, which you apparently did, if you look adjacent to it on the left, you will see a list called 'Dev Maps' (you may have to scroll the screen down to find it). Click on any of the 15 or so maps for a look.

Just posting this to let you know I haven't vanished in a puff of smoke. Rather, I'm busy with real-life monotony ATM, plus working hard to finish my Eanian Warg entry for Santharia.

I'm slowly struggling my way through the basics of Photoshop, though, and hopefully will be ready to tackle my first basic map-project (with copious amounts of your help!) quite soon.
