Wip [WIP-Regional Map] The Vandengarth Realms

Hi Guild, here is the first steps of my new personal map.
I need to be back into mapping so here is a little side map for experimenting.

For the start, I used some random claud brushes, than pushed the color treshold up.
On a low opacity, I used anothe rlayer to trace the lines while adding little touchups.

Those wavelines are great! I never get mine this neat. Would you mind sharing your technique? I'd understand if you'd like to keep it a mystery, of course 😉

Just use the "convert selection to path" tool with proper settings and than autotrace outlines. I scipted an Photoshop action for this. Those Wavelines dont take more than 10 seconds

I tried to do the same once, but I ended up with almost straight lines, even fairly close to shore. Will have to give it another try then 😉

First of all, welcome back, SK! It's good to see you back on mapping.
Second of all...another map i "understood" wrong at the beginning...i thought that white is land and black water. Which in my opinion would have been at least as interesting a landshape Be that as it may, very much looking forward to see where you will go with this.

Looks really nice, the amount of wave lines start to make it look somewhat dimensional, I kind of read them as topo lines, but I do like them.
