This is an awesome map, my only comment would be that Mordor doesn't seem all the scary, maybe a little darker and more monochromatic? Maybe the Shire even greener that the rest to give the regions slightly more character, just a thought, looks great as is.

I have some time left and mordor and the shire are the places I have been thinking about. I actually made a yellow tint on the places but not as much in the Shire. I'll see what I can do
I was aslso thinking of acual shadowy "clouds" hovering above Mordor but i am usually not too fond of that kind of "3D" effect. But I will add lava in the crater of mount doom.

Something to make it look a bit more cultivated might be worth a try. Also a slightly darker look around Mordor might work too. Fantastic map though.
