    Default Mapping a Dyson Sphere

So how would one go about mapping a Dyson Spheres interior surface? Obviously actually mapping such out would be basically inpossible so something considerably smaller.

using a CUBE map or a simple cylindrical map

mind you only a energy level 2 or 3 society could build one and they would not need it
( we "the earth" are about a level 0.2 )

    That should work.

Yeah I actually want the concept for a fantasy setting, so not an actual Dyson sphere with a Sun at its center but essentially an enlarged hollow earth.

Good thing you're going for fantasy, because Dyson spheres and ringworlds are gravitationally unstable!

The inside of a sphere is a mirror image of the outside. You can use the exact same projections and they will have the exact same properties and constraints; angle preserving projections will still preserve angles equal area projections will still preserve areas.
