Here's what you should all keep in mind about copyright.

If you base anything you do, on someone else's work, and they find out, they can sue you. They don't have to send a C&D letter as a courtesy. They can go right to sue.

They will ask you for a settlement first. If you don't accept it, then you have to defend yourself in court. Do you have the money to hire a lawyer? If not, then you have to defend yourself. A public attorney will not be assigned to you.

If you loose, and the person who sued you, has registered their work with the copyright office, then they can include their legal fees as well.
