Actually Leo and Lulu are the names of the Moons from Pale in the Truane's Star System.

    Cool Stuff NK!

Just one little nit-picky thing - shouldn't the "callouts" have a fourth line projecting from them? Not a big-deal really, just something that caught my eye.

So, I consider this challenge entry complete.

Do I think it will win? Nah. But I had fun, learnt a bit more photoshop, so maybe next I will have an even better entry. I would have loved to play with animations on this, as this style just SCREAMS animation, so who knows. If I have time between my studies and stuff I will revisit this, otherwise.......

The concepts are cool, but I think the whole "inset" thing would work much better for something like Flash animation. For one, the labels for Fromeltar and Ktsk Kar blend in so well with the overlay that they could be mistaken for in-system entities.

Overall, I love this map. I love the Star Frontiers setting and this map is truly a dedication to those fun days as a kid where I pored over those poster maps and rules and those little spaceship chits. Thank you for making it. I'm glad you had fun and learnt a few things as well.

When I started reading through this thread and looking at your first couple of WiP's I thought that the idea was well designed but a little "blah." Then I got to the last few WiP's with the insets and call outs and saw the halftoning on the screen image. This is a very strong piece.

It is very easy to feel like this is a screen capture of some program with roll-overs and such. Really top-notch stuff here.
    Something witty and pithy
