Wip Mar / Apr 2016 Lite Challenge: Celtic Compass

So, I'm leaping into the ring !

After a few sketching I decided to go for a celtic like compass. I want to try so draw some celtic knots and I'm gonna try to use some vegetation like ornaments. No named cardinal points, I'll go full picture on this.

    Here's the first sketch :

I won't have much time to invest on this so I'll draw today and the result will most likely be posted tomorrow (I hope).

The file is a PNG. The tiny details won't be really noticeable as a little compass but could work well as a watermark on a parchment texture.

Every element is on a separate layer so, the color can be tweaked.

Thanks Bogie and Josiah. By the way, Josiah, I'm very impressed by your compass. It's really well balanced and I love the graphite feel of your linework.

you might want to put the latest work in progress stuff right before it so the thumbnail scraper can pick it up.

I like it. That is a great looking compass.
