Default Houseboat Floorplan for inclusion in novel

    Hello everyone,

my wife and I, Beryll and Osiris Brackhaus, are writers and are currently putting the finishing touches to our fourth novel 'Softpaw', a paranormal m/m romance set in contemporary Paris. We would like the final book to include a simple floorplan of a houseboat, which is one of the principal settings of the book. As this would be just a nice-to-have feature of the book, we can not offer a commission fee per se. We are gladly willing to give credit and throw in a pdf/epub copy of the final book, though.

Coming from a civil engineering dayjob, I can draw a serviceable floorplan. But I entirely lack the skills to make it look cool. So this is why I am posting here. I did make a rough but properly scaled sketch, to describe the proper spatial relations inside the houseboat. If useful, I can send this to anyone interested or attach to this post, just let me know.

What we would need would be a bw or grayscale drawing, suitable for inclusion in a novel in a modern day setting, with the according non-exclusive illustration rights for the book, our website and connected advertising materials. Apart from that, we are open to all ideas.

You can also contact me directly via osirisbrackhaus@aol.com

Thank you so much in advance,
    Osiris
