Oh! I disagree. Divide your map into two parts. The first part shows the point up to the doors. It doesn't show what is behind the doors. The second map simply shows what you want the PCs to walk into. No matter what door they choose, that's the destination to which it opens.

Railan looked nervously at Garamon "You're not going to ask us to spend the night here are you?"
Garamon smirked as he looked down at the young scout "it's dead Rai - and no matter what my God will protect us and our mission", he put a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"It might be dead but its still God damn scary", Railan said chills running down his spine as his eyes wandered the skeleton.
Caitlin looked up at the both of them as she was rolling out her bedrool "no way we can start climbing the steps up that mountainside in pitch black darkness - besides we'll hear if anyone crosses the bridge, it creaks loudly", she smiled a nervous smile.
"So its settled. Now get a fire going Rai and I'll find some supplies". Garamon started to rummage in his backpack not noticing the sudden drop in temperature around them.

An interesting start there Tilt, with a creepy big hole in the middle! Your little story really helps build the atmosphere for it too!

lol.. thanks... I'll try to make more this weekend. Tonight I'm giving that Shanara show another chance - haven't really caught my attention yet though

And map related.. I'm wondering if the map is too small for a battle map - I might size it up a bit so there are a few more squares to fight on.

I've heard about the Shannara show. Being an old Terry Brooks fan, I was wondering how they were going to pull that off. I haven't had a chance to see it (no cable), but I have a friend recording it for me. I'm a little nervous about it... because I am fickle when it comes to movies(or shows) inspired by books, especially ones that I've read. It's not so bad if I see the movie first, but if I've read the book first, I tend to be REALLY critical of the movie. And I read the Shannara Series years ago.

Now why didn't I think of that! Now see, Mark... that's why YOU'RE the Master, and I'm just the lowly apprentice!
