    You're welcome. Not a bad idea to get at least sorta good with just one program first - particularly if your computer is short on space. But you at least *can* one day use more than one program, each to its own strengths. I don't remember export in Inkscape - I use it seldom enough it's practically relearning each time .

    On the file menu, there's an option 'Export to PNG' (or words to that effect). Inkscape will only export in PNG format, though there may be an extension that allows you to export in JPG, but it's not part of the program's native functionality. Mostly, I export to PNG and if the file size is too large, I open the PNG in Gimp and export as JPG from there.
