Apr / May 2016 Lite Challenge: The Temple Oasis

"Out in the desert surrounding the great city of Rasundra lies the Temple Oasis. It takes five days by camel to reach it. Two days heading Northeast by north to the Abandoned Tower and another three days heading Northeast to the southern end of the Bactrian Reef, a mountain silhouette one cannot miss.

The oasis and the water it provides is too small allow the establishment of a permanent settlement, though it is supervised by a small groups of Rasundrian soldiers, accompanied by a caretaker. Most of the day, the rocky hills protect the oasis and it's visitors from the soaring sun. On the top of the hill, the ruin of a temple, build for long forgotten gods, watches over the oasis. On the foot of the hill is a small cave, which offers protection from sandstorms and provides limited space for storage."

This was/is part of a campaign I led a few years ago. Together with a three other temples surrounding Rasundra it was supposed to keep some old evil at bay. Cataclysmic doom, world ending scenarios and all that jazz players love .

I started a bit late for this challange, but hopefully after a few hours of sleep I can finish it so it's good enough to be my first entry in a challange here.

Oh and I'm using Gimp with my old Bamboo Fun in case anyone is curious.

@ladiestorm: Irritating colors are a secret technique I use to encourage my eyes to tell the brain to do something about it . And to make it easier to see the different areas at the start.

So, here's the progressed version. Quite a lot room to improve it, but it's getting late and I better post an almost finished WIP befor I fall asleep on my tablet.
