Help Join jpeg images of maps in Inkscape

These are 36 maps of the state assembly electoral constituencies within the entire city of Bombay, India:

    From: https://ceo.maharashtra.gov.in/mapli...ges/map152.jpg to: https://ceo.maharashtra.gov.in/mapli...ages/map187jpg

I want to join these 36 maps in Inkscape based on the arrangement shown in this overall map of all constituencies of Bombay: http://goo.gl/HUPCPr

Can you please guide me on how to do this.

first are all 36 vector graphics ?
    are they svg images

    or
    are they raster jpg's ?

if jpg's then you have to use "autotrace"

    or inkscape's built in bit-trace

    BUT
for jpg's you will NEED to clean up the jpg noise artifacts from the jpg lousy compression

this noise / Artifacts - a zoom onto a word from your first image

Raster jpgs, as the links show.

Tracing is the initial part. Thanks.

How does one join them accurately?

the question is why incscape ?

gimp or Nip2 would be a better tool for this

even Hugin and the panorama tools would be better

but if you are intent on doing things the hard way ....

for removing the jpg "square" artifacts that that format causes is the first step
then the unneeded text around the image

i like a "bi-lateral" PDE heat flow filter for line drawings

-- the gimp Plugin "gmic" has that

install gimp and the gmic plugin
    filters / gmic
    1)
then in the "repair" section select " smooth bilateral" and use the defaults and set the "iterations" to 3 or 4 , then click "ok"

-- that should remove most of the "noise"
-- a noisy jpg dose NOT!!! convert to a vector graphic well --

    2)
use the paint brush to remove the tile and other things in the image not needed ( use white )

do this for all 36 and SAVE !! as a *.xcf or *.png

    3)
    converting to a vector graphic
there is NO!!!! way to get a 100% the same image !!!
    -- fact of life
    they will be "close "

    this is the "fun" part
and a BUNCH!!! of " trial and error " on a test first

"select" the denoised image " select this"
click on "path" and select "trace bitmap"

    then under multi-path
set to "color" and uncheck "smooth" and set scans to 8

that should give you a ? decent conversion

i will get into joining in a reply
