Default the Vassal State of Skaros - Atlas Elyden

So, the latest map in my Atlas Elyden project is the Vasssal state of Skaros:

Skaros is a land with a long history, dating back to the dawn of the Fifth Age of mortal life, where the lascar people settled the eastern coast of the Gulf of Skaros. They prospered, spreading to the south and east before outside powers in the east stalled their growth. They would dwindle, their ancestors becoming the forebears of Laaskha and Bassorah, as well as Skaros.
By the coming of the Korachani empire, Skaros had become a powerful region with a history of charismatic, if ruthless, leaders who had a propensity for wielding the Atramenta against follower and foe alike. This was further exacerbated by the Korachani exile of its ancient witch-rulers, the cheiroahin, into Skarosian lands. Many cities in the south-east of Skaros retain their old Atramental traditions.
The civil war, known now as the War of the Artifexes, left Almagest (to the north of Skaros) an independent nation, sundered from its once-parent empire, taking with it a large portion of Skaros’s northern territories - a blow Skaros never fully recovered from. Though it remains today a valuable part of the Korachani empire’s economy, it remains known to most around the Inner Sea as a land of occultists and shipyards, a stereotype its people fight hard to shed. In truth, the Skarosi people see themselves as the descendants of conquerors and explorers, and the finest Atramentists in the empire.

I'll proobably be sticking around this region before moving away - so I;ll probably get working on the map of Laaskha (directly to the south), and/or Bassorah (directly to the south-east), before moving on to Varr (to the east of Pelasgos). After that I'll move a bit farther away and either work on Khamid or the Surrach, s I had mentioned in an earlier post.

That was a fast one! Very nice as always. I admire your methodical approach – one country at a time, working through the area.

I haven't really been following your Atlas Elyden too much as of yet, but the amount of details you put in these are amazing. Absolutely incredible dedication. Fabulous job.

Thanks! If you look at the almagest map and compare the graticules with this one you'll see the difference in scale also I spent ages doing the topography on the Almagest map and it was ready for this one when no came round to doing it.

Another nice map Vorro! I'm finding myself impatient to see the whole atlas done . A lot of dedication indeed.

Me too The more I do the more I realise I have left to do! and not just the maps, but the index and boring layout stuff and page numbering etc. for the atlas itself. Well, I say boring, but I do like that stuff. It's just that it's quite time-consuming, and it's time better spent doing other maps or worldbuilding.
