One of the first things I stumbled upon in this forum was the thread on how far one can travel in a day on foot and on horseback (which saved me a load of trouble, that's for sure). I did a few quick searches here without much luck but I was wondering if anyone has done similar research on how far one can travel in a day by watercraft? I'm particularly interested in travel times by things like canoes, kayaks, and 8 men longboats (both on sea and rivers). I understand this is a situation that would involve a lot of variables, and that's partially why I am reaching out. Any ideas on what else I should be considering, apart from strength/experience of the rowers, type of water/watercraft, and weather?

Thanks!
