Requesting Milky Way Galaxy Science Fiction Map

Attached is a rough idea of what I had in mind. It is VERY rough. Also attached is a map that I took inspiration from, which is in the front of Star Wars Expanded Universe books. I would like MY map to look Similar in style to the Star Wars map attached.
This will basically be a fictional imagining of the Milky Way Galaxy. I say fictional in that although some of the landmarks in the galaxy may be based on fact (including the location of our solar system), the galaxy will be populated by fictional science fiction/science fantasy governments, etc.
The scale of the map will be the scale of he Milky Way Galaxy.
Style
I am looking for a map in the following style - attached aforementioned Star Wars map. I like the black and white Star Wars map and it was taken right out of a book. However, there is also a more color Star Wars map.
I am looking for a greyscale or colored map (that also looks good in greyscale. Intention is to publish in my Kindle books, so it has to look good in black and white, but could be viewed on color ebook readers or be printed in color in print.
Quality & Size
Professional/Semi-Professional
Required for Print/Web/Kindle ebook
[Dimensions of map: suitable for Kindle (not sure on dimensions) and print (possibly spanning two pages?)
[Raster / Vector] - Not sure about Raster/Vector. Would vector help with aligning the map in a ebook or print format?
Time Constraints
No significant time restraints. Would like to have before the end of 2016 if possible.

I will have the right to use the image for commercial purposes, the artist will have the right to exhibit the image as part of his portfolio but not to exploit it for commercial gain.
