    Behold. 'Tis a map.

Umm... Yep. I got really nothing to say about this one, to be honest - I doodled a tiny little map when I couldn't sleep at a hotel one night, and a month later I decided to make more or less proper map of it. Not really connected to anything storywise.

Most importantly this map was a way of getting acquinted with my new tablet, so there's a lot more hand-drawn elements than in anything I've done before. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Though there are many elements that I think could still use work, some more than a little, but at this point I'm already kinda sick of the damn thing, so I decided to call it done. It was good practice, if nothing else.

Let me know what you think!

    Hello !

really nice map : quite simple, but I think everything's there, nicely done !
Can you tell me which tablet you use to draw it ? and with which software ?
And you say that most of it is drawn by hand ?

    Anyway, I like your map...

    Thanks, JO!

I'm using a Wacom Cintiq and Photoshop CS2. And yeah, quite a chunk of it is done by hand, mountains and rivers and such, the land mask (not the outline though, I guess that's quite obvious), some of the coloring as well... Still far from a 100 %, but like I said, a lot more than I've done before. I'm learning (I think ).

Neither - just a hobby. My current field is quite far from anything art-related. The thought of maybe working with graphic design (or something of the like) does fascinate me though, so... who knows? Maybe some day.

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Beautiful map! The mountains are fantastic, as well as the forests. You pulled the whole thing together wonderfully with the title, border and rhumb lines. I think you've actually inspired me!

I Like it a lot. You have a very good handle on colors, imo and i do love your landshapes a lot (not only in this one but also in your first map post). Another atmospheric map, well done.
I hope to see more maps from your pen, so to speak. Keep it up!

I don't think i can Rep. you again this soon, but i'll try.

This is a really nice map! You say it started out as a doodle? I hope you doodle some more for us! I look forward to seeing what else you can come up with!!!
