    Three things.

1- The map is gorgeous, I love the color theme.
2- Mouse's idea seems good to me but be aware that the result might take the map somewhere else than the style you're aiming for.
    3- Good start !

I completely agree with the watch warning on No 2

Thanks Thomrey and I was bearing that in mind. It's just trying to find the balance between the style and the substance and I'm not entirely sure which way it will go, but that's part of the fun with these challenges. The lore can still be lore, but the original intention may change, perhaps even just slightly like a history map for children with a bit more room for artistic features. We'll see.

*EDIT* Decided to throw in a quick update with this post in the end.

Not sure about the mountains. I like them but may also attempt some caterpillars. Also, the text glow will be better and more fine tuned than it is now.

Oh, nice progress! The textures, the colors, etc... This just feels right.

Thanks, Mouse, but, well, that's really thanks to your suggestion, so you should really be complimenting yourself.

Thanks, Chashio, I'm pretty pleased with how it's gone.

Thanks Ilanthar! Yeah, I was thinking for a while about city markers then just thought, why not?

I've tried and tested a few further things, but haven't been too happy, so I'll mess around a bit more with it and get a further update in the next few days hopefully.

I had not noticed the Stake markers for the cities, but now that I have I love it.

That's an interesting bit of "future" history on vampire human relations. I like the the vivid red sea against the parchment background. It's very striking. Look forward to seeing updates.

    Cheers,

Thanks, Arsheesh. I really wish I had more of an update than this, but as is often the way, time is eaten up by plenty of other things, so I didn't. Still, I thought I'd wrap it up in time the end, so here is my final version. Not much changed or added and perhaps not at all how I originally was going to see it through, but still something that I'm going to call "finished".

Oh, and I might fiddle about with the fonts a bit more, but they are a right pain to make easily legible on this texturing.
