RPG Witcher 3
Dont know if any of you guys have played or read any of the witcher stuff, I myself im a fan to the point I ordered a replica, fully functional and real sword as used by geralt, wanted to show you guys (im expecting delivery this comming week).

Hey, i am a fan, I am Pole and i could read all the books long long time before there was games and all hype on it. Played the games too, but books way better (except maybe last one)
That is a nice replica, i presume from game, not witcher polish tv series
hehe yeah from the game, always been keen on polish stuff but the game and books are some of the best recent stuff out of poland (excluding the tv series, that was....ermmm)
Unfortunately, tv series was made long time ago with bad technology, i heard they are making movie now. Could be good, but its english version. Never will be that good as with polish language. In games they made best effort to translate polish "inside" jokes, and convey polish mentality, behavior and language usage into english one. It was good, but still, impossible to do it perfectly, English version of games are so much poorer because of that.
Well, I guess every book, movie etc looses with translation. You can translate the sentence, but not what is hiding between the lines :/
Honestly, something like The Witcher would work far better in the style of an HBO series or miniseries. There's no way you can establish something as extensive as the setting of the Witcher in a single movie.
On a map-related note, the regional maps in Witcher 3 are pretty.

True. There are 7 books if i recall correctly. There is no way of packing everything into one movie. I really doubt it will be a success. I dont even remember single movie, that based on book or game, was success.Originally Posted by Wired
