Thread: Autorealm filling a grid with color

Question Autorealm filling a grid with color

I feel like an idiot asking this, but I cannot figure out how to fill in a hex with color in Autorealm. I can place icons over a hex, and I suppose I can use the pencil to draw in some color in an individual hex, but I can't figure out how to simply fill a particular hex with color, (and hopefully change the background of that filling.)

    Thank you!

Do you mean the graph paper? You can't fill them. You can create your own hexes with the polygon tool, and there are hexes available in the symbols library.

Thank you for the reply. Do you happen to know if there is a way to make the hex icons fit into the hex graph paper automatically? I find that the hex icons are a little too big, and I need to adjust them, which doesn't make much for precision.

    Alas I don't

AutoRealm had great potential but it was abandoned as a project some time ago. Being able to paint hex tiles, or any tiles for that matter, would have been a good tool. I didn't get into it that much though.

Thanks again. I think I'll experiment with some other software.
