    Wip Citadel of the Planes

In my D&D Campaign my players got themselves a stronghold, and I used maps from Stronghold Builders' Guidebook (official Wizards of the Coast product).

Now, the maps presented there were simple 'overhead' blueprints, while the descriptions themselves included a lot of detail that wasn't shown on the maps (like furniture, weapons, armor, tools, trophies, maps, tables, busts, instruments,...).

I decided to remedy that and drew the isometric version of the maps - and here is the first part (others are still WIP):

    Thanks!

Now, this one seems less exciting, but can in fact be deadly for the adventuring party - the menhir in front of the dock summons a large demonic spider... and the river is River Styx - its waters wash away memories...

Did you perchance play to Planescape Torment ? this game is a great source of inspiration, even for mapping !

You could say that. I grew up playing all Infinity engine games, it's what drew me into D&D - and probably the reason I enjoy drawing maps like these. Planescape Torment is one of my favourite games, as well as my favourite roleplaying setting.
