Hello everyone!

Just wanted to throw out an introduction in order to get more involved with the forums here. I've played a lot of D&D and am now currently working on my own campaign setting. I want to make some kick ass maps to really bring it to life and show off the features of my world. I plan on using Photoshop, and have a little bit of experience with it. IN the past I have made a few simple hand drawn maps but want to switch over to digital creation. I see there are some threads and tutorial videos for beginners, but I am looking for some advice on how to start mapping this whole world I have created. Is it better to start a world or continent map then make city maps? When going to just jump into a city map I have a bit of a problem with making it the correct scale.

Here is a very rough concept map I have already created of the continents and their elevations.
