The burnt colors for the decorative border is a great idea since it also creates some contrast with the map. It's a pleasure to look at it and it's not distracting from the map itself too much.

Wow...just wow. As always, the artistic skill here is mind-blowing. It looks fantastic, overall.

Although i do have to say...the border/frame is what i like best here. And i'm not so sure that's a good thing...it's a map, after all ^^ So i kind of disagree with Max...i do think the map gets "swallowed", so to speak, by that very prominent (and super awesome!) border/frame.
