Across the Green Vale (Challenge Entry)

Here's my recent Lite Challenge entry. The task was to make a mappy book cover, so I chose to use Mouse's favourite paper once again and ink it by hand, before colouring it in Photoshop.

Although, it could have done better in the voting, I'm still pretty pleased with how it turned out and another reminder of why I love trying out the challenges!



Feedback, comments and what not are always welcome.

Also, hopefully they'll make their way to the finished maps, but otherwise, don't forget to check out the awesome selection of entries before they disappear into the archives.

Thanks ChickPea! I loved your Orient Express, just a shame you couldn't properly be a part of the challenge. I guess you just shouldn't be so good!

Thanks, Thomas! I was really pleased with all the linework and almost when for a more Tolkien-esque colour scheeme at first, so that's probably where that old style seeps through!

Very nice entry GLS! Nice simple composition and I like that you've done all the lettering yourself. Very attractive.
