I tried making a chainmail once and got a piece of the size of a handkerchief after 3 weeks. It's a big heap of work ... I finally bought one.
The sword is a stick of glas fiber made plastic wrapped in foam and coated with colored latex

Thats my group and I prefer Low-Fantasy Larp. It's more playing and less telling!
I liked: This one There was excellent one on you tube (I can't find it anymore) where a Larper gets arrested and continues to LARP to the police until they shoot him with a taser.
