Thread: The City of Azmera

    Map The City of Azmera

    Hi!
This is the second map I've painted for the illustrated novel "Caldyra" by Suzanne Helmigh www.caldyra.com (you can find the first map here: https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ferrerid=93332).
It represents an area of the city of Azmera.
It's a very big city so me and Suzanne decided to show only a part of it. This way I could better focus on the details of the streets and districts.

    Hope you like it!

Done with watercolour and ink on paper.

So amazing. Love it! A true work of art. One question about the paper texture. Is that something you add digitally, or do you use some technique to make it look older?

    Cheers,

    Beautiful work Francesca
I can see the city better in this image [than on DA].
Looks wonderful - splendid details on the buildings and, again, nice color choices.

Thank you Tainotim! I do not use digital textures. I use watercolour to make it look older.

Thank you very much J! Yes, I've shared a better quality image here on the Guild.
