I like the way the walls look... I can't wait to see it finished!
Like a thief in the night
    she comes with no form
    yet tranquility proceeds
    the accursed storm...

My goodness that is a lot of work!

What you've done of it looks great, though

I'm not going to finish this in time (if I even have any time left. Timezones are evil.)

I got caught up with work and overestimated how much time I'd have (or underestimated how long it'd take me to do this). Bah!
Still. Learned lots about shading so nothing lost!

    Oh my!

    You are having fun

I enjoy shading things too. There's something very therapeutic about adding a single soft stroke and making something just 'pop' into place, be it higher or lower than the surround.

Challenges are all about learning new things. I've done most of my learning while drawing challenge maps. So here is a tip for future use: The shading on the floor is often a bit darker where the floor abuts the wall, but you have to be careful you don't over do it right there, or the rest of the floor can look like its mounded up in the middle. Its easier to do if your floor is noticeably darker than the top of the wall, though I've seen some pretty fab shading where the opposite is true. Its just practice at the end of the day

I do hope you are going to carry on with this map in a WIP after the Challenge. It would be a shame to leave it unfinished when you're just in the process of learning the shading part
