Map STARFINDER - Ships for the Starfinder RPG: CBX-70 Freelancer

Following Daniel Hasenbos' stellar (no pun intended) example and the tutorial he has thankfully provided, I've tried my hand at designing ship, or for now, a ship for the Starfinder RPG (hey, gotta start small). Though saying it's for Starfinder is kinda arbitrary since I've added no rule-specific specifications, so technically you can use it for a variety of scifi games.

Since this is meant to be an independent small freighter able to operate longer periods in space I added extra storage space and things like an actual kitchen and showers to make it more into a home rather than just a means of transit. It also has a water treatment plant as well as a closed buggy for planetary excursions, including those of the lead-heavy kind.

And a version without labels for you to play around with:

This is a great design, Wired! I especially love the way you've designed the upper deck. Only thing that stands out to me is that the upper deck isn't shaded and textured, in contrast with the lower deck. Is that intentional?

Truth be told I got rather lost trying to find out the way lighting worked within the smaller cramped cabins, also because I failed to give them dedicated light sources to begin with. In the end I decided against going with bad lighting/shading and instead ditched it for the upper deck in total. Not exactly an ambitious way to tackle the problem, I know.

As someone who just started running a Starfinder campaign, and is designing a ship for my players to find, this is so much fun to see! I don't know what your technical background is, but it all looks pretty convincing to me. I think the worn look of the cargo deck is also a nice touch.
