It's awesome! I love this, what a dragon!
It's a sight that may be terrifying for sailors... hence the "(soggy) bottom bay" ?

    Thanks aeshnidae
    You can do it.

    Thanks Thomas
    I always appreciate your comments.
Whimsy is fun to work with. I'll have to do some more fun maps like this.

Hehe, there are some dark and not so tasty bits in my head, so be mindful of those. ;P

Leave a little for me as well, D, if you'd be so kind!
I like that comment, cus that's sort of what I was imagining for this guy
Just chillin and napping and being cute (:
Hehe, my brains might make you two sick, if your not careful.

He is terrifying, no? ;P hehe.

In case anyone was wondering, yes, I like children's book, storybook, fairytale, wonder book style illustrations.
They're cute and fun and lighthearted in a world that is often very dark.

Brilliant concept... and perfectly executed. John you are an inspiration to me to get the pens out and start doing a bit more proper drawing. Thank you

I agree with everyone, this map is amazing - something I can always expect from your work J.Edward. I love the colours, the scattered rocks, the island shape....
I seriously don't know how to describe my love for this. Maybe some rep will help>?

Great idea, beautiful work. This should be the inspiration for either a fantasy novel, or an RPG Adventure module.

Nice work, John. This is another great showpiece for your highly detailed drawing and your muted/subtle colouring.

The world's you make must be very well-supplied with islands by now

EDIT: can't rep you at the moment. Gotta spread it around a bit more

Ironically, I got a really good commission based on my island maps
They wanted a bunch of islands. So I get to do more islands.
