    Map Three Orcs Pass

Just finished my most recent map for the Dungeons and Dragons module I'm working on. I left the grid off of the map to showcase the actual artwork for it.

For a little background, in my world, in this region, there used to be a kingdom of Orcs. This was the first kingdom of Orcs and on the outskirts of their kingdom was this campground. At the front of the campground the Orcs made large pillars of rock from stones that have mostly eroded over the last 2000 years. In a sort of mocking way, the locals started calling the three pillars at the entrance that had worn away with time "the Orcs" telling stories about how they were old Orc guardians that turned to stone. To reach the main campground, one had to pass by the guardians thus the campsite got its name, Three Orcs Pass.

If you'd like to see some of the process I've got my WIP item here.

I've been working on it since Friday for the digital part. For both sketch and digital I think I probably sank about 12-14 hours into this piece.

Another good map, David ! It's never easy to deal with cliffs & elevation on those maps ! ^^

Thanks, MistyBeee! You're very right. I had the hardest time figuring out what to do for these. I'm planning on putting these together in a book with its own adventure. I think, in order to supplement the map, I'm going to do a small artwork to go alongside it just to make certain the height of the initial columns is understood.

Very nice, pleasant colors and pretty details! I might "steal" it for my next rpg session!

Lol, go ahead and "steal" it. I hope it works well for what you're wanting to use it for.

Thank you, Nopkin. It's really the color for this that got me liking this. It was incredibly flat before I added the color to it.
