The hand-drawn map you created gives a sense of genuine character. I just love this. Also, the map could be scanned or photographed to add some non-destructive digital effects such as a deckel paper edge or aging. In this way, you can have the best of both hand-crafted and digital worlds.

Meanwhile, I started drawing a new travel map. I decided to change the concept a little bit by adding some personal details.
First of all, near the places I visited, I added pages (torn out looked) from my travel diary. I also decided not to draw roads - they are not important on this type of map.

I have a few other ideas for showing the weather on the map.
The diary entries surely are a nice addition. Regarding the roads, I'd have to wait for the finished map before I can assess their „importance“. I like the style you drew them in.
