Antoria v2

In february of 2017, I drew a map of a fictional country called Antoria:

Over a few months, I gradually expanded this map - tile by tile - to encompass an entire continent.


I didn't stop drawing, though. I continued to draw maps of other things, fictional and real-life places alike.
Over the past year or so i've developed my own style and have gotten better at showing the physiography of a map.

Bearing all this in mind one day, I decided to redraw my original map of Antoria.
This thread will mark my progress, starting October 25th:

Hey Jeff,

This is looking very impressive! That stippling / caterpillar style for drawing mountains really seems to work with you. The only thing I noticed is that the lighting direction isn't always consequent: in the northern part of your map, ligh seems to be coming from the top right, whereas at the bottom it seems to be coming from whichever corner is closest. So that's three different light sources, which seems a bit off maybe. I think it might have to do with the fact that shading mountains this way is really hard if the light is coming in parallel to the ridges, but I'm sure there's a way to overcome that.

But style-wise I have no remarks! This is really cool. Keep up the good work!!
