Wip WIP - World Map - Continent of Emane

    Hey everyone!

So I've been working on this on and off for probably the better part of 3-4 weeks now. I'm finally ready to post it and get some input and feedback on what I've got so far. This world and map are going to be used most likely for a D&D campaign in the future, but I also just like creating worlds and writing stories and backgrounds for it.

I'm still building out the history and lore of the land to a large degree so there isn't any indication of empires or city states or anything along those lines yet. This is also just one continent of the world with 1 possibly 2 more planned to go along with it.

    Original Map Size = 4800x2700.

Off to a nice start! I really like the shape of this world, and the texture around the ocean looks good even if it is a bit rough.

The coloring of the mountains looks a bit odd to me, with the beige and gray colors mixed together (especially around Jagged Teeth and Caanfell mts.) - is there any way to blend the background colors together a bit? The 'outer ring' around the coastlines also looks a tad pixelated, but it's not a major issue.

Cool looking place, keep at it!

Thanks for the feedback. I had to scale down the overall size of the map due to file size limits which causes the pixelation.

The coloring of the mountains is being updated and filled in to make it more consistent / matching.

One thing I've found helps with that, is if you apply a Gaussian Blur right before scaling (it's a tip I picked up here a looooong time ago). Blur in proportion to how drastically you are resizing i.e. if you're scaling to 1/2 the size apply a 2px blur first. It has the effect of anti-aliasing your scaling.
