Map Feb '19 / March '19 Lite Challenge: Anatidae

I drew this this morning after thinking about the metaphorical versions of nursery rhymes. I was tempted to make it a volcano and a river of lava for Jack to "jump" over, but decided that was going a little too literal.

    Map Process:
    I drew the border
On separate sheet I drew the land mass first in pencil then going over it with my Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen.
drew the main peak, roads and a few other peaks in pencil before going over those and drawing the rest with the pen.
    Scan everything in!
Combine it all and add parchment effect to paper.

    Total working time: 2.5 hours

The Continent is called: Anatidae which is the Biological family for geese and other water fowl. That way I can sneak in Mother Goose in there somewhere. and also why there is a small pond in the Northwest corner of the map. Need somewhere for Mother to sit.

Nice work, interesting idea using a volcano for the candlestick!
    Welcome to the challenge!

I added the WIP tag so it gets picked up by the Thumbnail viewer.

If you make changes to the map, make sure you add the tag each time.

It's hard to pick out the details at this size, would it be possible to upload larger images in future updates?
