Wuunt - A region in my D&D world, and my first map

Hi all,

Thought I'd share the first map that I made for my D&D group, the region of Wuunt. This is a homebrew land, in the cold northern part of the continent. Life in the mountainous land of Wuunt is harsh, winters are long, dark, and frozen, but the people here are hardy, have adapted to the conditions, and live relatively well. The capital, Winterstar, sits on the shores of a great lake, the Wuunteloch, and on the edges of an ancient forest, the Gilded Forest.

This is a hand-drawn map. I'm not up to speed with digital map-making, plus I prefer doing things by pen-and-paper anyway. Drawn using black Staedtler pigment liners, and a generic red fineliner on A3, 140gsm paper.

I'm still learning (this is my first map) and would love any thoughts or feedback. Things I'd like to work on include; more distinct coastlines, sea/water textures, calligraphy, forests and mountains.
